Prolouge 2 - John Walker

When I first got the sight I had no idea who these strange people were and why I was the only one that I knew of who could see them.

They looked exactly as a human except the weird glow that they had around their figure, it wasn't a normal golden glow but instead it was a faint gray colour. My parents thought I had gone crazy when I told them about the strange humans who were everywhere so they sent me to a mental hospital. I was only let out from the hospital two years ago. The day that I got out I saw him sitting on a bench right outside the ward watching my. He had deep black hair and emerald green eyes but also the glow. I still saw them.
There was no one I really could talk to about them so I was forced to live with the sight of the ghosts. Then just before Christmas I meet Summer. Summer was a ghost from the 1800’s - although she didn’t seem like she was that old - she told me what I was (a voyantes) and what I was actually seeing (ghosts).

She managed to explain everything to me. You see the people I could only see were in fact ghosts, she said that they were the spirits of the dead who have chosen to stay behind & destroy or guard the human race. The terinal as she called them were the ones who were out to destroy the human race, they were the ones who blamed mankind for their death. The kindered were the good ghosts, they were the ones who were trying to protect mankind and everything else on the earth. Summer was a kindered. As the time went on I managed to accept the fact that I was unique & what I was seeing was normal – for someone like me. I started to grow accustomed to the presence of the ghosts although they still unnerved me. After awhile I started to write all the information that Summer was telling me in a journal, it seemed the only way for me to accept all the information, soon I had enough to write a whole book and that’s what I did... I called the book the true ghosts.

There was just one thing that was a problem with publishing the book, the Terinal wouldn’t leave me alone. Ever since I had written the book about the truth they wouldn’t even give me space. Before they kept their distance tormenting me from afar, whispering to each other about the strange voyantes, but now they were everywhere on every space doing all sorts of things trying to make me go insane, they nearly succeeded. Later that month I meet a woman called Sophie & we instantly fell into love. She was smart, pretty and for a short time I thought the love between Sophie and I had kept the Terinal away but they came back in strength and the whole thing became impossible to handle.

This is when, you see, I made a deal with the leader of the Terinal...
